Sherry is a fortified wine from the Jerez de la Frontera region of Spain where wine has been produced for over 3000 years. Sherry is fortified after fermentation is completed and the process makes it the driest of all fortified wines. Fino, pale-colored and Oloroso, dark-colored are the primary types of Sherry of which both are dry. Sweet varieties are produced by adding coloring and sweetening agents or by blending specially made ultra sweet wines.

Classic production areas: Madeira, Spain
