apricot-flavored brandy, 1 tbsp. orange juice and 2 dashes orange
bitters. Shake with ice and strain.
Vanderbilt Cocktail: Cocktail glass. 1 1/2
oz. brandy, 3/4 oz. cherry-flavored brandy, 1 tsp. sugar syrup and
2 dashes bitters. Shake with ice and strain.
Velvet Hammer: Cocktail glass. 1 1/2 oz. vodka, 1
tbsp. creme de cacao and 1 tbsp. light cream. Shake with ice and strain.
Verboten: Cocktail glass. 1 1/2 oz. gin, 1
tbsp. Forbidden Fruit, 1 tbsp. orange juice and 1 tbsp. lemon juice.
Shake with ice and strain. Garnish with a brandied cherry.

glass half-filled with ice.2 oz. sweet vermouth, 1 oz. vodka, 1/2

Vesper Martini: 2 oz. gin, 1/2 oz. vodka and 1/4 oz.
Lillet Blonde. Shake with ice and strain. Garnish with a lemon twist.

glass with ice and rimmed with salt. 1 1/2 oz. tequila, juice of 1
lime and 1 tsp. sugar. Shake with ice and strain.
Vodka Grand Marnier:
Old-fashioned glass. 1 1/2 oz. vodka, 1/2 oz. Grand Marnier, 1/2 oz.
lime juice. Shake with ice and strain. Garnish with an orange slice.
Vodka Mimosa (aka Champagne Screw): Chilled
champagne glass. 1/2 oz. Vodka and Champagne. Fill with 1/2 orange
juice and with 1/2 Champagne.
Vodka Sour: Sour glass. 2 oz. vodka, juice
of 1/2 lemon and 1/2 tsp. powdered sugar. Shake with ice and strain.
Garnish with a half slice of lemon and cherry.
