Drink Recipes "Mi-Mz"- Dallas Bartenders

Miami Beach: 1 oz. Scotch, 1 oz. dry vermouth and 1 oz. grapefruit juice. Shake with ice and strain.

Midori Cheap Shades: Collins glass half-filled with ice. 3/4 oz. Midori, 3/4 oz. peach schnapps, 3 oz. orange juice, 3 oz. pineapple juice and 1 1/2 oz. of Margarita mix. Shake with ice and strain.

Midori Sour: Rocks glass filled with ice.. 2 oz. Melon liqueur and 2 1/2 oz. sweet and sour mix; stir well.

Mikado Cocktail: Old-fashioned glass with ice. 1 oz. of brandy, triple sec, 1 dash of grenadine, 1 dash of creme de Noyaux and 1 dash of bitters. Stir and serve.

Milk Punch: Collins glass. 2 oz blended whiskey, 1 cup milk and 1 tsp. powdered sugar. Shake with ice and strain. Sprinkle with nutmeg.

Mimosa: Champagne glass, no ice. Fill with equal amounts of chilled orange juice and champagne.

Mind Eraser: Rocks glass filled with ice. 1 oz vodka, 1 oz coffee liqueur, fill with tonic.

Mint Julep: Silver julep cup, silver mug or collins glass. 2 1/2 oz. Bourbon, 2 tsp. water, 1 tsp. powdered sugar and 4 sprigs mint. Muddle mint leaves and powdered sugar with water. Fill glass or mug with shaved or crushed ice and add Bourbon. Top with more ice and garnish with a mint spring and straws.

Mist: Highball or old-fashioned glass. Refers to any drink or liqueur that is poured over shaved or crushed ice and then garnished with a lemon twist.

Mistic Beach: 1 1/4 oz. Jose Cuervo Mistico, 3/4 oz. Cointreau and 3 oz. cranberry juice. Stir and garnish with a lemon wedge.

Mojito: Highball glass with ice. 1 1/4 oz. rum, splash of soda, 1 or 2 tsp. granulated sugar, about 8 mint leaves and 3 lime wedges. Muddle mint leaves and lime with granulated sugar. Add ice, rum & top with soda, garnish with a sprig of fresh mint.

Monkey Gland: Chilled cocktail glass. 2 oz. gin, 1 oz. orange juice, absinthe and grenadine to taste. Shake with ice and strain. Adapted from The Savoy Cocktail Book.

Monkey Wrench: Old-fashionded with ice. 2 oz. light rum, 3 oz. grapefruit juice and 1 dash bitters. Shake and strain.

Mouresque Cocktail: Chilled cocktail glass. 2 oz. absinthe and 1 1/2 ounce orgeat syrup and a splash of water. Stir with ice and strain.

Morgan's Red Rouge: 1 oz. Captain Morgan Spiced Rum, 1/2 oz. blackberry brandy, 2 oz. pineapple juice and 1/2 oz. lemon juice. Shake with ice and strain.

Moscow Mule: Beer mug. 1 1/2 oz. vodka and fill with ginger beer. Garnish with a lime squeeze.

Ms. Tea: Collins glass filled with ice. 1 1/4 oz. Irish Mist and 3 or 4 oz. iced tea. Stir briskly.

Mudslide: Fill a rocks glass with ice. 1 1/4 oz. of vodka, 1/2 oz. of coffee liqueur and 1/2 oz. of Irish cream.

Mulled Claret: Metal mug or coffee mug. 5 oz claret or red wine1 cube sugar, juice of 1/2 lemon, 1 dash bitters, 1 tsp. mixed cinnamon and nutmeg. Combine all ingredients, heat a poker red hot and hold in liquid until boiling and serve; or warm on stove.
