Abbey Cocktail: Cocktail glass. 1 1/2 oz. gin,
juice of 1/4 orange and 1 dash orange bitters. Shake and strain. Garnish
with a maraschino cherry.
Absinthe
Drip Cocktail: Drip glass or old-fashioned glass.
1 1/2 oz. anis and 1 sugar cube. Pour anis into glass. Place sugar
cube over holes in the drip spoon (or tea strainer). Pack the spoon
with crushed ice then rest the drip spoon over the center of the glass.
Pour cold water over the ice and sugar to fill. The drink is ready
when the water has dripped through the spoon.
Acapulco: Old-fashioned
glass with ice. 1 1/2 oz. light rum, 1 1/2 tsp. triple sec, 1 egg
white, 1 tsp. sugar and 1 tbsp. lime juice. Shake with ice and strain.
Garnish with a sprig of mint.
Adam and Eve: Cocktail glass. 1 oz. gin, 1
oz. brandy, 1 oz. Forbidden Fruit and 1 dash lemon juice. Shake with
ice and strain.
Adios Mother F****er:
Highball glass with ice. 2 splashes Blue Curacao and 1/2 oz. gin,
1/2 oz. light rum, 1/2 oz. triple sec and 1/2 oz. vodka and sour mix.
Pour in white liquors and fill glass with sour mix; top with Blue
Curacao. Squeeze a wedge of lemon, and stir.
Adonis Cocktail: Cocktail glass. 1 1/2 oz.
dry sherry, 3/4 oz. sweet vermouth and 1 dash orange bitters. Stir
with ice and strain.

Dallas Bartenders
Affair: Highball glass with ice. 2 oz. strawberry
schnapps, 2 oz. cranberry juice and 2 oz. orange juice. Top with club
soda if desired.
Affinity: Cocktail glass. 2 oz. Scotch, 1 1/2
oz. sweet vermouth, 1 1/2 oz. dry vermouth and several dashes orange
bitters. Shake with ice and strain.
After Dinner Cocktail: Cocktail glass. 1 oz. apricot-flavored,
1 oz. triple sec and juice of 1 lime. Shake with ice and strain. Leave
lime in glass.
Alabama Slammer:
Rocks glass. 1/2 oz of Southern
Comfort, 1/2 oz. of Jack Daniel's, 1/2 oz. of Amaretto, 1/2 oz. of
sloe gin and 2 oz. of O.J. Stir vigorously in a shaker with ice and
strain.
Alaska Cocktail: 1 1/2 oz. gin, 3/4 oz. yellow
Chartreuse and 2 dashes orange bitters. Stir with ice and strain.
Alexander Cocktail #1: Cocktail glass. 1 oz. brandy,
1 oz. white creme de cacao and 1 oz. light cream.
Alexander Cocktail #2: Substitute gin for
brandy and prepare the same as Alexander Cocktail #1.
Alfie Cocktail: Cocktail glass. 1 1/2 oz. lemon
vodka, 1 tbsp. pineapple juice and 1 dash triple sec. Shake with ice
and strain.
Alfonso:
Champagne flute. 4 1/2 oz. chilled Champagne, 1 oz. Dubonnet Rouge
and 1 sugar cube soaked in Angostura bitters. Place the sugar cube
soaked in bitters into the flute, add the Champagne, Dubonnet Rouge
and garnish with a lemon twist.
Algonquin: Cocktail glass. 1 1/2 oz. straight rye
whiskey, 3/4 oz. dry vermouth and 3/4 oz. pineapple juice. Stir and
strain.
Allegheny: Chilled cocktail glass. 1 oz. bourbon,
1 oz. dry vermouth, 1 1/2 tsp. blackberry-flavored brandy and 1 1/2
tsp. lemon juice. Shake with ice and strain. Garnish with a lemon
peel twist.
Allies Cocktail: Chilled cocktail glass. 2 oz. dry
gin, 1 oz. dry vermouth and 1/4 oz. kummel. Stir with ice and strain.
Almond Joy: (Also known
as a Toasted Almond or Orgasm) Fill a highball glass with ice. 1/2
oz. of Kahlua, 1/2 oz. of Amaretto, 1/2 oz. of vodka and fill with
milk or cream. Stir vigorously.
